When Your Laziness Prompts You To Buy Very Bad Things

A friend of mine sent me a link to this picture, which orginally appeared in The Stranger's Slog blog.

The caption read, "The hard-boiled egg’s packaging problem—solved!"

Oh, that's awful. Let's take the natural packaging off the egg and put a bunch of crap around it. Geez! I'll bet it costs 10 times the cost too.

A dear friend of mine mentioned that she's gotten pre-cooked hard-boiled eggs at the deli. For some reason, I don't find this bad at all. Is that inconsistent? I don't know. I guess it's because deli eggs are fresh and don't require gross preservatives and tons of packaging. Plus I love delis!

Would could be wrong with pre-cooked hardboiled eggs? I'm not sure what you mean by inconsistent. You weren't complaining about the fact that they were cooked but all the packaging around them, right? What's the difference between buying a cooked egg and buying an egg salad sandwich at the deli? Or any cooked food in a restaurant?

Or maybe I'm just tired and sick today (sniffle) and not comprehending

Anyway, where have you been, missy?

True that. But it's also the preservatives that would freak me out.

Good to know that peeps don't think I'm being inconsistent.

First time visitor, but great blog!
Both local and national companies really need to step up to make packaging and waste better.

But at the same time, it's on US to help close the loop. I grew up recycling and will continue to!

that's just amazing. I read this days ago and have just been turning it around in my mind - I can't understand it, honestly.

This reminds me of the time hubby and I were in the store and saw hotdogs packaged already in the bun. Apparently you just stuck the whole thing in the microwave. Definitely for the laziest and very wasteful!

Lush makes a good shampoo (block form) my daughter who travels throughout the world uses it, no liquid to worry about with air travel -leaves hair soft
also for deodorant--don't forget the old favorite--a salt crystal-should be able to get it in some health stores-it is not messy
